We’re basically taught to live for buying new things. I mean, they tell us to go to school to then go to college to then choose a career that will allow us to have enough money to buy new clothes, new accessories, new cars, a new house, new jewelery, and just any other new material thing. Yet at the same time, we don’t really own those things when they’re in our possession. We’re just given the illusion that we own those things. The things we’re fooled to believe that we own are really owned by the 2% of the world’s population that owns everything else. Like your house; it’s not yours, it’s the bank’s. Like your car; it’s not yours, it’s the bank’s. Everything that you have ever bought with a credit card; they’re not yours, they’re the bank’s. And if you disagree with me, try not continuing to make your payments because according to some bougie, materialistic corporate man in a suit, they can take it all away. This entire “American Dream” thing has been turned into consumerism bullshit just like everything else in this world. We can’t even have access to food and water without paying for it because things are set up in a way that people are too busy at their jobs trying to get money for those basic standards of living, that they’re so blind to the reality that we can grow our own food and purify our own water FOR FREE like it should be.
